The Baby Cakes grows best in neutral, well-draining soil.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDig a hole three times the size of the plant’s root ball and just as deep. Place the plant’s root ball into the hole. Fill the hole with soil and gently firm the soil around the roots of the Baby Cakes Blackberry to remove any air pockets.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eApply a three-inch layer of mulch such as peat moss, pine needles, bark chips, or recycled rubber chunks around the base of the plant to help keep the soil moist and prevent unwanted weed growth.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eChoose a pot with ample drainage holes in the base to allow the water to flow away from the plant’s root system.
